After selection of member each member will have to sign in the member register admitting that he shall obey the Byelaws, his duties and responsibilities.

  • 1. Share.
  • 2. Deposits.
  • 3. Donation.
  • 4. Borrowings.
  • 5. Fine, forfeited shares etc.

Classification Of Membership

After selection of member each member will have to sign in the member register admitting that he shall obey the Byelaws, his duties and responsibilities.

  • i. A-Class Member : A Share holder who purchase at least 1 to 10 shares of Rs. 1000/- each. Maximum numbers of A-Class member will be 50 only.
  • ii. B-Class Member : Reserved for Govt. & the Share money will be Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) only.
  • viii. C-Class Member : This Share to affiliated cooperative society, S.H.G. and J.L.G. Share money will be Rs.100/-each member of the group.
  • iv. D-Class Member : Other person in the family of A class share holder/any person within the area of operation of the society. D class share holder shall have no vote in the general assembly. Share money will be Rs.50/- each.

Membership can be withdrawn only after adoption of resolution in a meeting of board of directors. All such resolutions will be placed before the general body for information if the member has paid all the dues to the society and cleared liability as sureties, if any in full, he can withdraw his membership, provide that a member is required to give three months notice to the Board of Directors and give a written request explaining his reasons for withdrawal.

A member of the society may be expelled by the votes of General Assembly –

  • 1. If he is a persistent defaulter.
  • 2. If he willfully deceives the society by false statements.
  • 3. If he is legally disabled.
  • 4. If he is criminally convicted.
  • 5. If he intentionally does any act likely to injure the credit of the society.

The membership shall be ceased on following grounds

  • 1. On death.
  • 2. Board of Directors accepts the application for resignation.
  • 3. Expulsion.
  • 4. Transfer of share or forfeited.

Liabilities Of Members

Liabilities Of Members

If any member stands as Guarantor of other members loan, he/she will have to take the equal liability with the Loanee member/shareholder for payment of loan.

Each member shall get share certificate as a proof of his/her share.

Payment Of Share, Deposit Etc, After The Death Of Member

when a member of registered society dies, his share and interest in the society shall be paid to the person, if any nominated in accordance with the provision of Section 55 or the said share and interest in the society shall be paid to his/her legal heir after deduction of all his / her dues to the society. The recipients will have to give money receipt.
